THE TMR-1. A TELEOPERATED MOVILE ROBOT

Abstract: This article consists in the design and construction of a teleoperate robot TMR-1, which is a prototype developed for the care of high-risk situations in hostile environments. The robot can be controlled at a safe distance from a central command through of video cameras system. Consists of a modular system and configurable depending on the need, consisting of two manipulator arms, clamps grip and a control system that allows great maneuverability especially in enclosed spaces, through of a system of wheels with traction differential. This robot could perform tasks such as transport, manipulate, pushing and dragging objects, as well as conducting surveys of land, emergency or natural disaster, explosive ordnance disposal. The equipment can be updated through the location of other devices sensors.

Resumen: El artículo consiste en el diseño y construcción de un Robot TMR-1 teleoperado, el cual es un prototipo desarrollado para la atención de situaciones de alto riesgo en ambientes hostiles. El robot puede ser controlado a una distancia segura y desde una central de mando a través de un sistema de cámaras de video. Consiste de un sistema modular y configurable dependiendo de la necesidad y consta de dos brazos manipuladores con pinzas de agarre. El sistema de control permite una gran maniobrabilidad sobre todo en espacios cerrados a través de un sistema de ruedas con tracción diferencial. Este Robot podría realizar tareas como transportar, manipular, empujar y arrastrar objetos, así como realizar reconocimientos de terreno o situación de emergencia o desastre naturales, desactivación de artefactos explosivos. El equipo puede ser actualizado a través de la ubicación de otros dispositivos sensores.
